If we seek to understand the relationship our personality plays in our lives, we look to how we relate to dogs.
If we seek to understand the relationship our Spirit plays in our lives, we look to how we relate to cats.
We can dominate a dog but not a cat.

Dogs to me are love, and so very loyal. They only need to be loved, hugged, feed and given excercise, to be happy I think:) and they give so much love in return but they are not as independent as cats I think as well. Cats just seem more independent in their ways than dogs, they still need love and hugs, but I think they would be able to survive much better than a dog if they became lost, their instincts of hunting to eat still seem more intuned than how a dog’s would be.

or maybe it is just the degree of domestication, each are at.

Hi {{tumel !!!}}
What you’ve shared is quite accurate. Think about what you’re insight has revealed, for there are different relationship patterns. Dogs behave like our personality’s, in wanting to please and be liked, while you won’t find a cat doing the same. It’s that independent nature of cats.
If a cat is observed being aloof and distant, then the cat’s owner has distanced themselves from their own inner levels.
Dogs are helping us release the ‘old’ and cats are helping us bring in the ‘new’.

When I was young, I got a cat. My parents told me I couldn’t get a dog while I was away at school, since they didn’t want me bringing another one home when I came. So I got a cat. If there’s ever a loophole, I’ll find it.
My cat was the personification of everything ‘cat like’ to me. It didn’t like me. Primarily for the same reason my cat now, doesn’t like my daughter.
It’s a joke of a game in my house. Whenever my daughter tries to catch my cat, he makes a beeline for my husband’s lap. It’s ‘base’. So long as he’s on base she can’t mess with him.
My daughter does the same as I did, tries to control the cat. Dress up the cat. Hug the cat. Possess the cat. Restrict its freedom and movement.
And ‘cat’ doesn’t like it.
The cat I used to have never liked me. Now…, every cat seems to want to sit right on top of me. Since Hubby brought home another stray someone had dumped on our property, we now have 4 in the house. And all 4 have to know where I am at all times.
The difference is within me, the relationship I have with myself and the intimacy of it. Cats are, as they have always been. It’s me that changed.
Yes, we’ll get another dog. My daughter would love a dog. But we’ll select the breed carefully, for traits and temperment. I’ll find something with the same sweetness and gentleness as my Samoyeds but, small, that doesn”t shed.
The kind of dog we have, mirrors a lot about our emotional makeup.

Dogs, cats–I love them both. They do have their own unique qualities. Okay. The truth is that I love anything furry.

So do I, {{ggir}} , so do I.
I have to admit, the inside-out cat doesn’t do a thing for me, neither does the inside-out dog. But it’s not their fault, it’s simply that they have no fur and that’s why they look inside-out to me. Smiling.
I Do like bald men though…..
